Welcome to the North Lancashire Methodist District web site. This is a most beautiful part of England as the District stretches from the Fylde Coast through the Ribble Valley to the Trough of Bowland. It covers most of new Lancashire and is a mixture of small rural villages, market towns and larger towns well known for being part of the once thriving cotton trade.

Methodist News

Today the main employer would be British Aerospace and BNFL plus many people still working in the agriculture sector. There are around 10,500 members of the Methodist Church in North Lancashire in 145 churches. Many of the church communities are facing up to the challenges of relating the Gospel to the present day culture and you will find exciting stories of this as you scan the pages. I hope that as you visit some of the sites you will encounter God’s people trying to make their faith relevant to everyday life.
